       answer / reply / respond

       è¿™æ˜¯ä¸€ç»„同义词，都有“回答”的意思，但用法有区别。

       answer作为动词时，表示一般性的“应答”，既可作及物动词，也可做不及物动词。例如：

       I am going to answer his letter this evening.今晚我将给他回信。

       I can’t answer offhand.我没法马上回答。

       repty 比answer较正式，一般用作不及物动词，如何和及物动词，后面只能跟直接引语或shat从句。例如：

       He replied to my question.他回答了的质问。

       Have you replied to his letter?你答复了他信中提出的要求了吗？

       She replied that she would go with us.她说她将和我们一起去。（此句不能换成answer.）

       éœ€è¦æ³¨æ„çš„是，在answer a question或answer me等用法中answer不能用reply代替。
